Beautiful Butterfly

I saw this butterfly that is made of fabric when I was at my BF’s foster parents. I can’t go out on that day because it was snowing outside, so I just enjoyed looking around the house and took some photos. I actually have so many photos inside their house, but I will post it on the next post.

Anyhow, I am back here in my small tiny country with the BF of course, and we are busy all day roaming around the city.

It’s Saturday.

Whether you yearn to throw on the couch, why not invite friends after work or cuddle with the family watching TV Saturday. I bet this is a wonderful feeling, especially if you are getting bored. Anyway, one day to go and its Christmas, you would probably one of those busy moms, dad, aunt, uncle, grandpa and grandpa preparing gifts for love ones. When you read this, we are definitely in the sky, flying going back to the Philippines. We will be in Manila at 11:00 o’clock on the next day (Dec. 24). So I would definitely have a Christmas Eve at the airport. I guess it is exciting. This is actually my first time to celebrate Christmas at the airport. I wonder how the passengers will celebrate the Christmas Eve while still at the airport. Anyhow, I can blog hop again when I get home.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Domkyrkan in English Dome Church

Last month, the BF and I went to the oldest church here in Sweden. It is a Catholic church. Their Kings and Queens, priests, bishops in the past were buried in this place. This was built in 1500, and until now, the church is still in perfect structure. When you are standing at the entrance of the church, and if you will look up the church tower where the big bell is located, you need to bend back your neck so you could see the tower. Honestly, when I saw many tombs, even if it were clean and shiny stones, my skin hairs stand, and I was a bit nervous. I cannot explain why but that was my feeling inside the church, especially when I stepped on the floors where lots of dead names written on it. It was early in the morning when we went, so there were no other people except us and the church worker. And when you talk, don’t talk louder otherwise you will hear your voice again. Anyhow, I will share more photos on my next posts.

Domkyrkan is the name of the church. Pronounced as dom-sher-kan.

Vacation House

These were taken when the BF’s foster family invited me to visit their farm house or vacation house near at the lake. I was really excited when I was told that I could take photos of beautiful sights on that place. They pick me up at home around 10:00 in the morning. Actually, the place was not too far from the city because it was outside the city where I live. It took almost an hour to get there. While we still on the road, the snow flakes came followed by rain. I was praying that the rain will stop when we get at the place because how could I take photos if it is raining. Unfortunately, the heaven didn’t stop pouring the white snow flakes until we all got home. So, I just took some photos of the lake, the sunset, through the window. It was pretty cold to go out, plus the ice and snow on the ground made me insane. When the snow flakes stopped, they asked me if I wanted to see a wild pig in the woods. I asked whether they will hunt for it, and they said no. They just want to see them eating and roaming for fun, but it is hard to get them alive because they are quick to run. I tried to go out but when I looked at the road, it was a little hilly, and my boots couldn’t hold the ice so, I decided not to go with them. The BF, me and Sally (BF’s mom) stayed at home. We ate, warm ourselves with the open fireplace and talking. That’s what we did while waiting for the hunters or wanderers to come for a good news.

The Snow

Well, this is the surroundings here in our place now. The snow is really beautiful to look at, but I hate the coldness. When it rains, the road is so slippery because the snow is melting but then in just a couple of hours, it will turn to ice and that’s made the road so slippery. It is hard to walk on the side of the street if there is an ice. You can’t step on it otherwise you will fall on the ground.

Yellow Bell Pepper

After the church service yesterday, the BF, his foster parents and I had our snack together at the church dining lounge. I had my ham and cheese sandwich with veggies inside. One of the veggies inside was this yellow bell pepper. At first, I tried to remove the bell pepper, but the BF said, it is good. He told me to try a little on it, and I did. Wow! I didn’t know that this yellow bell pepper is sweet and has no strong smell like the bell pepper in the Philippines. So, when I told them that I like it, they smiled at me. I also explained to them that I don’t eat bell pepper in the Philippines even if it is cooked because of the smell. And this yellow bell even if it was mixed with the other veggies and uncooked, the taste was really good. If I go to the grocery in the next few days, I will include this on my lists.

Woman’s Day Out

These were taken before the snow came. The first photo was at the downtown. It was around 2:00 in the afternoon, but it looks like late in the afternoon already. The second photo was taken in the morning when the BF brought me to the Catholic church here in Västerås, Sweden. This church is so big and the oldest church here in Sweden. It was built in 1500. Anyway, I will post more pictures on this at my travel blog. By the way, don’t mind my winter jacket because I only have one winter jacket, but I have two winter boots. lol

The Dolls

I actually don’t have an idea on the nationality of these dolls. lol When I got here in this house, these dolls were already here. They look like a Chinese or Japanese Dolls, ha ha. Anyway, they are not hurting me. They just sit on their place 24/7 a week, so I didn’t mind them at all. How about you, can you name what kind of dolls are they?

Snow is coming to town and I am not happy.

The weather today is colder than the past few days. Anyway, I couldn’t forget when the first snowflakes dropped on the ground. It was Sunday in the evening (Nov. 27), after our church service, the BF and I were eating dinner at the restaurant, and we were sitting beside the window glass. While we enjoyed our food, the rains came. I was praying that rain will stop when we go home because I don’t have an umbrella. Anyway, the rain was not too hard, and it was on and off. Later, we noticed that the wind had this white flying thing in the air, and we saw these when the car lights hit them. The BF told me that it was snowflakes. The next morning, when I went out, I found this cracking ice beside the street.
